UNSEEN BUT FELT 78
Artist statement
I’m drawn to emotions that whisper the ones too quiet to be spoken aloud.
My paintings are not planned; they are received. They arrive from
memory, instinct, and sensation. Some come softly, like the breath of
night; others rush in like wind.
I do not paint images I paint what lingers behind them. Movement.
Stillness. Unseen feelings.
‘Unseen but Felt’ is about the quiet light we each carry: forgiveness,
longing, comfort, dreams. I hope my art offers you a moment of pause a
breath, a spark, a sense of coming home to yourself.
There is no need to ‘understand’ Just be with it.
Let it move through you.

Early Life and Education:
Born and raised in Mongolia, Buyankhishig Unurbayar grew up in a
culturally vibrant family that nurtured her early passion for art. She
began painting as a child and went on to earn a degree in International

successful entrepreneur before returning to her artistic roots.
Professional Journey:
She began her artistic journey in a modest rented studio in 2016. That
same year, she transitioned into a private studio, marking her first major
step forward. In 2017, she launched the Art of UB Gallery, a fully
professional exhibition space located in Choijin Suites, in the heart of
Ulaanbaatar. The gallery operated there until 2021.
In 2022, she expanded both the gallery and its vision by relocating to the
first floor of one of downtown Ulaanbaatar’s most prestigious
skyscrapers. Now spanning over 600 square meters, Art of UB functions
as a dynamic art gallery and coffee lounge.
The gallery plays a vital role in bridging Mongolian artists with the
